Head of A&R for Baste Records, Chris Wallin and Political Consultant Ward Baker Talk Curious Timing in Release of Biden Classified Docs

Live from Music Row Friday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed Head of A&R for Baste Records Chris Wallin and political consultant Ward Baker of Baker Strategies in studio to discuss the curious timing of Biden’s classified document scandal.

Leahy: Chris Wallen, the head of A&R for Baste Records, a great singer-songwriter, is in the studio with us right now. And we have been joined early by our very good friend, let’s get his theme music going. (Darth Vader theme plays)

We welcome to our microphones Ward Baker, a legendary political consultant, and our very good friend. I see you smiling when you hear that Darth Vader theme.

Baker: I’m just happy to be here. (Laughter) Humbling to be in the power zone of Michael Patrick Leahy, the conglomerate. He’ll be selling gold on Fox by next week.

Leahy: Accomplished at blowing smoke. But you’re right, actually. Love to sell gold. Love to sell gold.

Baker: It’s part of the empire.

Leahy: Up next, relief factor. (Laughter)

Baker: That’s right.

Leahy: Chris Wallen is the head of A&R for the new music label Baste Records.

Baker: Congratulations.

Leahy: Anti-woke music label. How about that? When are you going to have the launch of that music label?

Wallin: The official launch is going to be in April at Joe Rogan’s new place in Austin.

Leahy: In Austin. Although your headquarters are here. Are you going to have a party?

Wallin: We’re going to be co-launching with mines.com.

Leahy: Got you.

Wallin: And yes, really cool people are going to be there. Way cooler than me.

Leahy: That sounds great, and it’s wonderful. Ward, we’re talking about the launch of The Tennessee Star. It’ll be six years ago on February 6th, 2017. After we launched as the only conservative news site in the state of Tennessee. All of a sudden, every conservative media news outlet said and entertainment outlet said, we got to be in Nashville. Is that a coincidence?

Baker: No, they followed your lead. It was your leadership.

Leahy: There you go. Speaking of leadership, there’s just so much to track, and I want to get your opinion because you work at the highest levels. You’ve worked with former President Trump. You’ve worked with now Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Marsha Blackburn, Bill Hagerty, and really, the conservatives who are leaders in Tennessee. They all work with Ward Baker. What do you make of this Biden classified document scandal?

Baker: I find it interesting that the classified documents at Biden’s house, every time they’ve been found, it’s been three Fridays in a row past 4:00 p.m.

Leahy: Tell our listeners why Friday after 4:00 p.m is important.

Baker: It’s media day. And I think it sort of kills the story going to the weekend, and we don’t hear about the first documents being found for 10 weeks, and over two months that is the first time the documents were found.

Leahy: Yes, they were found on November second by his attorneys who don’t have classification.

Baker: The left tried to crucify President Trump. But of course, they’re willing to give Biden a pass on this. And if you don’t have classified documents lying around your home, you’re really nobody in Washington. (Leahy chuckles) I think everyone will be scrambling to find documents so they can be in the in-crowd now.

Leahy: The in-crowd. Chris, Wallin, do you have any classified documents in your home?

Wallin: I do. I have to have something.

Baker: Michael, have you checked your files in your garage?

Leahy: I don’t have a Corvette.

Baker: That’s the problem.

Leahy: I think you have to have a Corvette before you can have a box there. But Ward, this is so weird because November second is the date that his personal attorneys called the White House attorneys and said, hey…

Baker: Had an official legal call that they set up.

Leahy: We found these classified documents at the Chinese-funded Penn Biden Center. Right.

Baker: And on top of that, when it was asked by Fox News and USA Today’s Joey Garrison and who works here at The Tennessean, and said when did they know? He didn’t know. He has constantly said we don’t know. The White House has constantly said that we’ve never got when did they find it?

Now they called on November second, but when did they find these documents? We still don’t have that question. This isn’t a black helicopter. We just want to know when did they know? They called on November second, and then they said it.

And so that’s the hypocrisy that we constantly see and that’s why people feel like their voice doesn’t matter and there’s a total disconnect. Just think if this was the Trump White House and they weren’t answering that question. That has gone away. It’s not reported; that is an actual fact.

Leahy: It’s very interesting because his personal attorneys made the phone call to the White House attorneys on November 2. November 4, they tell the National Archives, nobody’s saying anything to nobody after that. But the inspector general and the National Archives tell the Department of Justice at that time.

But nobody gets anything in the press until January ninth I think it was. That is very bizarre to me. I’d be curious your thoughts. You raised a very important question. When did Biden’s personal attorneys find these documents? Let me just speculate. Could it be oh, I don’t know, before the August raid on Donald Trump’s house in Mar-a-Lago?

Baker: Yes. C’mon man as Biden would say. This is just a total separation of how everything is done. And the left-wing media has totally covered this up and we just want the actual facts totally.

Leahy: Covered it up.
